Russian citizen illegally crosses border of Ukraine, doesn’t want to join Russian army

Yesterday, June 26, border guards of the Sumy detachment detained a 19-year-old resident of the Russian Federation, who illegally crossed the Russian-Ukrainian border on foot outside checkpoints. This was reported by the State Border Service press office.
When clarifying the circumstances of the offense, the young man explained to law enforcement officers that he was following to Ukraine for the purpose of employment.
He also admitted that he did not want to be conscripted for military service in the Russian army. That is why he decided to go to Ukraine. Young man hoped that it would go unnoticed, but things did not happen as planned.
Therefore, for an illegal crossing of the state border of Ukraine a foreigner was brought to administrative responsibility.
In addition, a decision was made to ban him entry into the territory of our country for a period of 3 years. Now the young Russian was forcibly returned to the territory of the Russian Federation.
As reported earlier, on June 19, the State Border Service of Ukraine announced that 11 checkpoints were resuming work on the border with Russia and Belarus, 8 of them opened for pedestrians.
