Putin: Russia and Ukraine are not in an argument, they only have different views

Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Russia and Ukraine “did not argue but only had different views”.

“First of all, Crimea has always been ours, even from a legal point of view,” Putin said, in an interview with Russia 1 TV channel, calling the annexation of Crimea “the highest degree of democracy.”

In an interview, he was asked whether a dispute of such a scale was worth “acquiring” Crimea, while practically “losing” Ukraine.

According to the Russian President, Russia did not argue with Ukraine. “We did not argue with Ukraine, we have different views with those who are in power in Ukraine today. And Ukraine, the Ukrainian people will remain for centuries our brotherly people,” he said.

Putin also admitted that he would run again for President if the relevant amendments to the Russian Constitution were adopted.

“I know this from my own experience, instead of normal rhythmic work at so many levels of government, I will start prowling with my eyes in search of possible successors,” he said.

Earlier, in this interview Putin condemned Ukrainian President Zelensky for his comments about the Second World War and warned that this could spoil relations between the countries.

    • At his present stage of his dictatorship he has just about completed the vacancy of his mental faculties. He lies and contradicts with such ease.
First of all…Crimea has always been ours…who besides him really believes that?
Secondly…the annexation of Crimea was “the highest degree of democracy.”…who besides him really believes that?
Third…the Ukrainian people will remain for centuries our brotherly people…Yep, his faculties are toast.
fourth…”I will start prowling with my eyes in search of possible successors.”. Which has NOTHING to do with democracy. This waste of oxygen has finally lost his marbles and should be put to pasture or under the pasture.

      • I’m afraid I reached a different conclusion redders. He is not mad, just evil. I would bet that he is a clinical psychopath also. These are the traits to look out for:

Furthermore, I’m afraid that many of his ‘subjects’ do indeed believe him. 20 years of 24/7 kremprop does that to you. If you control the media, you control the state. It’s as simple as that.

        • Of course his subjects believe him, they have no choice except imprisonment, torture, medical testing and death. What I meant by who believes him is those of us that are not clinically insane or psychopathic.
George Washington could have been a king in his day but he said 8 years was more than enough….to stave off the temptation of power.

So thousands dead, civilian planes shot down, endless propaganda from the RT robots, did not spoil relations. Better get the strait jacket on this bastard and toss him back into his padded cell.

    • This is why they are not worth reasoning with. They don’t have that ability. They believe simply being Moskali gives them the universal right to be above the law and the right to own everything. Children usually get over that impulse by the age of 6, but for the descendants of Genghis Khan, it is ingrained. They don’t deserve reasoning either. The only answer is either complete isolation or a bullet.

      • The West have let him get away with breaking every international law in the past 20 years. They are as much to blame for the current state of world affairs as Muscovy.
