New Danish ambassador presents copies of credentials at Ukrainian Foreign Ministry
Newly appointed Danish Ambassador to Ukraine Ole Egberg Mikkelsen has presented copies of his credentials to Ukraine’s Deputy Foreign Minister Yehor Bozhok, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry’s press service has reported.
“The deputy minister congratulated the ambassador on his arrival in Ukraine and wished him success in his future activities,” the report said.
The sides outlined future steps aimed at deepening the political dialogue and intensifying economic and investment cooperation.
Bozhok thanked Denmark for its unwavering position in support of Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as for keeping in place sanctions against Russia as an aggressor. In addition, he noted the implementation by Copenhagen of a number of programs designed to facilitate the implementation of systemic reforms in Ukraine.
“Ukraine and Denmark have every chance of increasing trade to $1 billion a year,” he said.
Ambassador Mikkelsen said that Denmark would continue to support Ukraine’s European and Euro-Atlantic aspirations.
