47 people’s deputies ask the Constitutional Court to declare illegal the separation of the GTS from Naftogaz
The Constitutional Court of Ukraine has received a petition from 47 people’s deputies on the constitutionality of the law on unbundling of Naftogaz – the separation of the GTS into a separate company.
This was reported by the press service of the court.
It is noted that the authorized representatives of the people’s deputies who submitted the petitions are Batkivshchyna people’s deputies Yulia Tymoshenko and Serhiy Vlasenko.
“The constitutional petition is due to the fact that energy is a strategically important sector of Ukraine’s economy, on the stability and sustainable development of which depend on the livelihood and quality of most spheres of society, as well as the well-being of the Ukrainian people, not only present but also future generations.” people’s deputies.
Among the people’s deputies who signed the petitions to the Constitutional Court, in particular, Yulia Tymoshenko, Serhiy Vlasenko, Mykhailo Volynets, Ivan Krulko, Valentyn Nalyvaichenko, Yulia Levochkina, Viktor Medvedchuk, Natalia Korolevska, Vadym Rabinovych, Nestor Shufrych and others.

As you know, unbundling is the separation of natural gas transportation activities (GTS operator activities) from the extraction and supply of natural gas and electricity.
On January 1, 2020, the independent gas transmission system operator completely separated from the Naftogaz Group and began autonomous work – transportation of natural gas for consumers in Ukraine and the EU.
