Moscow authorities are looking for areas for temporary coronavirus hospitals, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said on the air of one of the Russian television channels, Interfax reports.
He noted that the dynamics of the incidence rate is high, the city authorities are ready for the fact that there will not be enough hospitals for all infected. In this regard, the city authorities select premises in large open sports complexes, at VDNH, shopping centers, so that temporary hospitals can be deployed there.
“We are doing this with an eye on two, three, four weeks in advance,” he explained.
Sobyanin recalled that pre-fabricated clinics are already being built in Moscow near large high-tech hospitals.
The day before, he reported that a decision had been made on preparatory work for the deployment of temporary hospitals with a capacity of 10 thousand beds.
