During the last week, Ukrainian pyrotechnic units examined 34 hectares of territory, 241 explosive objects were seized and neutralized.
Pyrotechnic units of the State Service for Emergency Situations seized and destroyed almost 34,000 explosive items in Donetsk and Luhansk regions from the beginning of the hostilities in the east of Ukraine.
This was reported by the press center of Joint Forces Operation (JFO) headquarters. The press center emphasized that, in accordance with the orders of the JFO Commander, the pyrotechnic units of the State Emergency Situations Department carried out work on cleaning up terrain from explosive objects, as well as life support facilities and infrastructure, escorted emergency crews of communal enterprises during repair and maintenance work at electric and water supply facilities.
“During the week, pyrotechnic units worked 45 times, examined 34 hectares of territory, 241 explosive objects were seized and neutralized. In total, from the beginning of the JFO campaign, units concluded 6,112 operations, 6,731.64 hectares of the territory and 17.5 hectares of the water area were examined, 33 838 explosive items were seized and destroyed,” the report said.
