The so-called “republics” believe that the passport of a citizen of Ukraine and the “DPR” are equally valid documents.

The so-called “Donetsk People’s Republic” (“DPR”) recognizes the use of passports of citizens of Ukraine in the occupied territories.

“The Ukrainian passport is currently a legal ID document and has the same legal force as the passport of a citizen of Russia or the ‘DPR,'” “DPR leader” Denis Pushilin told one of the local websites, the Ukrainian news outlet Novosti Donbasa reported.

The so-called “republics” believe that the passport of a citizen of Ukraine and the “DPR” are equally valid documents. Pensioners with Ukrainian passports continue to receive local payments.

“With Ukrainian ID cards, you may carry out any actions in the registry office, including marriage, registering the birth of a child, etc.,” the so-called “DPR’s Justice Ministry” said.
