Ukraine and Russia negotiating new detainee exchange – Zelensky

Ukraine is holding talks on the release of citizens detained in the temporarily occupied territory and in Russia, President Volodymyr Zelensky has stated.

“Two tracks, two lists. We agreed on the list in Minsk, and we will supplement the list of identified persons. We will prepare this track – an exchange with the temporarily occupied territories. And another track – we have already started a conversation with the Russian Federation about the exchange of all Ukrainians, including Crimean Tatars and other Ukrainians who are in the territory of Russia,” the president told journalists in Jerusalem, his press service reported.

On January 23-24, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky is on a working visit to the State of Israel. He will participate in the commemorative events at the Fifth World Holocaust Forum dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz death camp.

  1. When will Zenny stop his half-assed actions and present some real progress in Donbas? He was voted into office to solve the ‘conflict’. I would expect him to talk to Putin and his mice 24/7 in marathon talks until all issues are solved, similar to what happened with Bosnia in 1995 in Dayton. And Ukraine has weapons. Ukraine can ban all russian banks, stop all trade with Russia in case of no progress.
