Successful implementation of the dual citizenship reform will help return talented youth to Ukraine.
“Our youth has a very positive attitude toward the US, and we hope that more of our young people will be able to get a great education at American universities, which are among the best in the world. We are happy for people to go and gather experience, but we also want our diaspora in the US to be free to return, so we are working on a dual citizenship reform,” President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said in an interview with Newsweek.
He underscores the importance of digitalization for combating corruption. “We know that to win the battle against corruption we have to embrace digitalization. In this, we have a connection because Ukraine has many brilliant IT people, and the US is the world’s IT hub. Now Ukrainians tend to work for American tech companies, but we would like to see more Ukrainian companies so we can develop products here and sell them to the world,” the president of Ukraine noted.
Zelensky also sees more perspectives for investing in Ukrainian oil and gas production, and real estate.
As reported, Deputy Foreign Minister Vasyl Bodnar stated that the Ukrainian government was exploring two possible ways for introducing the concept of dual citizenship in Ukraine.

As long as the Moskali are NOT allowed dual citizenship with Ukraine this could be possible. Sad that Ukraine needs to carve out exceptions but bulls should not be allowed in china shops.
The diaspora will return once the invaders are defeated, corruption wiped and all toilets returned.

Not yet AM. Ukraine, because of her gentle, respectable eastern neighbors, does not allow dual-citizenship. For good reason too because Ukrainians don’t want a bunch of drunk monkeys voting in the elections. It looks like things may change though, hopefully the rabid gargoyles are not included in dual-citizenship considerations.
