Athlete’s record high jump was 2.01 meters
A new record in high jumping in the U20 category was set by 18-year-old Ukrainian athlete Yaroslava Mahuchikh. The Ukrainian Athletics Federation on a Facebook page reports.
“2.01 (meters – ed.) Is my personal record on premises. The next start in Cottbus is January 29 (Germany – eds.) We will compete and show good results,” – Mahuchikh said after winning the Demyanjuk Memorial in Lviv.
Competitions were held in the U20 category (among athletes under 20 years old). Athletes fought for the championship in high jump indoors.

As we reported, Ukrainian high jumper Yaroslava Mahuchikh won the World Athletics Award 2019.
The victory of Mahuchikh in the Rising Star nomination was announced on November 23 in Monaco.
In 2019, Ukrainian high jumper broke the world junior record by winning the silver medal at the World Championship – she jumped at 2.04 m. In addition, Ukrainian became the European Junior Champion.
