Ukraine requires British police to remove trident from anti-extremizm guide

In the visual section of the guide on identifying signs and symbols of right-wing radical groups, in the “tattoo” section, the coat of arms of Ukraine under the name “Ukrainian trident (nationalist)” is published

The guide of the British police, sent to medical personnel and teachers as part of the campaign against extremism, features such non-violent groups as Greenpeace, as well as the national emblem of Ukraine – the trident (tryzub). It is reported by European Truth.

The manual is distributed throughout England in preparation for the Prevention program to combat radicalization, designed to stop individuals who might threaten by terrorist violence.

In the visual section of the guide on identifying signs and symbols of right-wing radical groups, in the “tattoo” section, the coat of arms of Ukraine under the name “Ukrainian trident (nationalist)” is published. The indicated image is placed next to Nazi symbols.

Ukrainian Embassy in Britain has already responded to the situation:

“The placement of the trident, the constitutional national symbol and the coat of arms of Ukraine, in the extremism guide issued by the anti-terrorism police for teachers and medical personnel in the UK is beyond outrageous. There are no acceptable explanations. We demand to remove the trident from the manual with an official apology,” the message reads.
