The United States calls for complete cooperation with any investigation into the cause of the crash.
United States Secretary of State Mike Pompeo says the U.S. stands prepared to offer Ukraine assistance in a probe into the crash of Ukrainian International Airlines’ flight PS752 in Iran on January 8.
“The U.S. Department of State extends our deepest condolences to the families and friends of the 176 passengers and crew killed in the tragic crash of Ukraine International Airlines flight PS 752. The United States will continue to follow this incident closely and stands prepared to offer Ukraine all possible assistance,”
Pompeo said in a statement posted on the website of the U.S. Department of State on January 8.
The United States calls for complete cooperation with any investigation into the cause of the crash, he added. As UNIAN reported earlier, Kyiv-bound UIA flight PS752 crashed shortly after takeoff from Tehran’s Imam Khomeini International Airport in the early hours of Wednesday, January 8.
It was carrying 167 passengers and nine crew members on board. Two passengers and the crew members were Ukrainians. There were also 82 citizens of Iran, 63 citizens of Canada, 10 citizens of Sweden, four citizens of Afghanistan, three citizens of Germany, and three citizens of the United Kingdom. There were no survivors.

Trump said nothing. Pompeo only wrote something. It is very embarrassing when Putin sends condolences to Ukraine instead of Trump, who got lost in drivel about a staged iranian attack everybody got a warning about hours earlier and nobody was even injured, other than during the plane crash which killed 176 people.
Even though we know without any shadow of a doubt that Trump hates Ukraine, it was still absolutely shocking that he made no reference to PS 752 in his speech yesterday. As usual Ukraine gets the shit end of the stick.
I have used Ukraine airlines on several occasions and will continue to do so. However, human nature being what is, a significant number of people might stop using them. SkyUp will be warming up on the touchline ready to take up the slack.
I will use whatever pleases me, including UIA. This bullshit is not the airline’s fault after all.
I hope that the investigation will not drag on for years but I expect it will. Iran will deploy their master putler’s technique of lies, obfuscation and conspiracy theories.
Even though Russia has been officially blamed for M17, nothing has happened to them in terms of punishment, even though they keep on lying.
