Ukraine-“LPR/DPR” prisoner swap to take place on Dec 29 – Russian media

The parties have reportedly agreed to hold a prisoner swap in the “all for all” format.

The Ukrainian government and representatives of the self-proclaimed “Luhansk and Donetsk People’s Republics” (“LPR/DPR”) have agreed on the exact date of a prisoner swap, namely December 29.

“They have agreed to hold a prisoner swap on December 29 unless something unexpected happens,” the Russian daily Kommersant reported with reference to two sources familiar with the content of the negotiations.

The exact number of prisoners to be transferred as part of the swap is not yet known. As UNIAN reported earlier, Ukraine’s envoy to the humanitarian subgroup, Valeria Lutkovska, said the Ukrainian military who had been captured by the Russian armed forces after the battles near Ilovaisk and Debaltseve would be released by the end of this year.

  1. Those poor souls kidnapped illegally after the tragic “green corridor” deception by the Moskali in Debaltseve will need a lot of love when they return after 5 years of torture.

  2. I wonder where these so called separatists will go to live following their release.

Why is it if there are no russian troops in the areas why are the ivans involved at all.

What is your opinion?
