The move is allegedly related with Putin’s visit to open a railway service with annexed Crimea.
Russia’s Transport Ministry has closed navigation across the Kerch Strait for four days over “temporary works.”
“Between 00:00 December 21, 2019, to 23:59 December 24, 2019, vessels are not recommended to enter the water area of the Crimean bridge over temporary works,” the ministry said in a statement on Friday.
Andrii Klymenko, head of the supervisory board at the Maidan of Foreign Affairs Foundation and editor-in-chief of the portal BlackSeaNews, shared his own theory.
“On December 20, 2019, the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation just decided and simply blocked navigation across the Kerch Strait for four days – from December 21 to December 24. Why? Because the Russian president himself will take a train for a ride along the bridge on [December] 23rd and the first train will be launched on [December] 24th,” he wrote on Facebook on December 21, referring to information from a monitoring group of the Black Sea Institute of Strategic Studies.

As with all dictators, and Putin is no exception, they are scared of their own shadows. They know they are hated by everyone, even their own countrymen, hence the extreme measures to make sure nobody tries to assassinate the little bastard. Oh for a small earthquake just as the train is crossing this bridge.

Directional drill under bridge foundation. It is already not that stabile, so a little water pumped in would loosen the soil. Pull pipe back and start pumping the displaced soil from drilling back in to cover tracks. Shortly it will collapse, sooner than it would if left on its own.
Poopin’s visit is just a lame excuse to do the first repairs on the brand-new bridge. The geology for a bridge there is too unstable, as said in warnings by numerous engineers and geologists. Albeit, the Kremlin mafioso know better than scientists.
The icing on the cake and poetic justice would be if the bridge were to collapse just as the high-heeled dicktator crosses it.
