Russian official claims “Donetsk and Luhansk [Russian-occupied areas in Ukraine’s Donetsk and Luhansk regions] are in conflict with Kyiv” in eastern Ukraine.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov says he is sure that Western countries should abandon the “imperial policy” and lift the sanctions against Russia. The minister said this when addressing students and faculty of the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic on November 27.

“The best way to end this abnormal situation is to abandon imperial ambitions, give up the practices of past centuries to dictate one’s own will to everyone and become a judge of everything,”

…he said, answering the question, which option is most acceptable for resolving the sanctions issue between Russia and the West, according to an UNIAN correspondent in Russia.

Lavrov stressed the sanctions had been introduced “under the pretext of Ukraine events.”

“Our western colleagues say: ‘Well, do something in Ukraine, follow Minsk agreements, and we will be happy and relieved to lift sanctions’,” Lavrov added.

Moreover, Russia is not mentioned in the Minsk-2 agreements, while being a member of the Normandy format, the Russian foreign minister said. Lavrov claims it’s…

  • As always, when the former KGB agent Lavrov speaks, it needs thorough interpretation so that civilized people can understand his language.
Start with the premise that everything the KGB says is backwards and you can begin to make sense of his propaganda.
For example: Laughrov calls the West, imperialist. So, do western countries occupy land somewhere? No, that would be Russia.
Another: Does the west dictate their will to everyone? No, that would be Russia. Just ask anyone from South Ossetia, Abkhasia, Transnistria, the Crimea or the Donbas.
And to top it all off, this propagandist implies that Russia has no obligation under Minsk because the word Russia is not in the document. Though, Shorty the Shirtless was at the meeting and signed the document…
    Where’s my….hammer? ;))
