Korean companies have extremely strong interest in the infrastructure projects in Ukraine in various areas.
Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Ukraine Kwon Ki-chang made a corresponding statement during a meeting with Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Vladyslav Kryklii, the Ministry’s press service reports.
In particular, Kwon Ki-chang noted that Korean companies have extremely strong interest in the infrastructure projects in Ukraine, particularly in the maritime, rail and aviation sectors. The ambassador also expressed his hope for expanding infrastructure cooperation between the two countries.
Minister Kryklii thanked the Korean side for the fruitful cooperation and noted that the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine already has experience of successful cooperation with Korean companies and intends to expand it.
“We have ambitious goals for the implementation of large concession projects in the maritime, rail, aviation and road sectors. We are glad to invite Korean companies to participate in concessions. For our part, we are ready to provide all necessary assistance to the participating companies and to minimize all bureaucratic barriers. Ukraine and its infrastructure are open to global investors and investments,” Kryklii said.
During the meeting, the parties discussed bilateral cooperation in the rail, aviation, maritime and river sectors, as well as the opportunities for investment in the infrastructure projects in Ukraine.
