Explosion occurred on Russian tanker, three people died

No oil spills occurred at the vessel

An explosion occurred on Zaliv Amerika tanker in Russian Nakhodka, which killed 3 people. It is reported by TASS.

According to preliminary data, the air-gas mixture exploded on the vessel. As a result of this, the cable route is damaged, the anchor devices are also inoperative. The spill of oil products did not happen as a result of the explosion, since at that time there was no cargo on the tanker.

There were 9 people on board. Two rescue tugboats were sent to the scene.

Law enforcers opened a criminal case under the article “Violation of the safety rules for the operation and movement of maritime transport, resulting in the death of two or more persons.”
