President vetoes law on temporary investigation commissions

President Volodymyr Zelensky has vetoed the law on temporary investigation commissions and temporary special commissions of the Ukrainian parliament, which was earlier approved by the Verkhovna Rada of the eighth convocation.

The relevant report has been posted on the parliament’s website.

According to the report, the law was returned to the Verkhovna Rada with president’s proposals on September 23.

At the same time, the text of the president’s proposals to the document has not yet been published.

As Ukrinform reported, the Verkhovna Rada on June 6, 2019 passed the law “On temporary investigation commissions and temporary special commissions of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine,” which provides for the procedure for the president’s impeachment.
