The Ukrainian leader sent a message to all G7 leaders, asking them to continue supporting his country
The unacceptability of Russia’s return to G7 became the central topic discussed by Volodymyr Zelensky, Donald Tusk and Justin Trudeau. August 22, the Ukrainian leader contacted the officials and brought the issue up, as his press office reported. Tusk agreed with Zelensky, adding that the EU position towards solidarity with Ukraine remains stable.
He said that he’d defend this position during the approaching G7 summit in France. Talking to Trudeau, Zelensky thanked him for Canada’s firm stance in terms of Russia’s return to G7, as the armed Russian aggression in Ukraine continues. He added that in this kind of situation when Ukrainians keep dying, it is crucial that Russia is bound to live up to its commitments.
The Ukrainian leader sent a message to all G7 leaders, asking them to continue supporting his country. Previously, Zelensky claimed that Russia may not return to the G7 until it gives Crimea back to Ukraine and stops military aggression in Donbas.
