The minimum wage in Ukraine has tripled over the past three years and now amounts to UAH 4,173, Social Policy Minister of Ukraine Andriy Reva has stated.
He said this during a press conference on Friday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“Thanks to the laws developed and adopted over the past three years, the minimum wage in Ukraine has increased three times, not three percent, but three times. Today it amounts to UAH 4,173 per month,” Reva said.
According to him, the growth of the minimum wage led to an increase in the average monthly wage in Ukraine.
“In 2016-2019, the average salary in Ukraine doubled. In the first half of 2019, it amounted to UAH 10,027 per month,” the minister noted.

This is good news, except that prices have tripled in the same period. It would be better to publish the purchasing power of the hyrivna in the past 3 years.
Western food is more expensive than imported rat meat…
Yeah. A large pizza costs around 8 euro here.
I think overall it is doing ok though. UAH was around 29 to the dollar and now around 25 when the dollar is doing pretty good too. If we could get the ruSSo-filth off the land I would think the UAH would return to around 15.
It was 10 to the Euro before the scum invaded.
