President instructs to fire nine district police chiefs

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has instructed Head of the National Police of Ukraine Serhiy Kniazev to dismiss police chiefs in nine districts of three regions.

He stated this at a meeting on the illegal amber extraction during his visit to the town of Olevsk in Zhytomyr region on August 12, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

In particular, this refers to five districts in Rivne region, two districts in Zhytomyr region, and two districts in Volyn region.

In addition, Zelensky instructed Acting Chief of the Security Service of Ukraine Ivan Bakanov to dismiss the heads of regional departments of the Security Service of Ukraine in Zhytomyr, Volyn and Rivne regions.

  • It is my observation that dad thang is carrying on as usual. At the rate he is cleaning house, he will end up with a mutiny of military and police, or the only one left to fire is the President.

    Perhaps the clear out will get rid of more corruption, give him a chance guys!

    I’m not sure what could be done to end the war, increasing troops would probably give shorty a ‘reason’ to escalate. This whole conflict is near enough a direct copy of Hitler’s entry into the second world war.
    If the UN get involved they will only eventually establish a DMZ such as the one in Cyprus and Ukraine would still lose at least half the land.
