Revenues to local budgets grow by 20.7 percent

In January-July, the local budgets received UAH 150.9 billion, up 20.7% compared to the same period in 2018.

“In January-July, the local budgets received UAH 150.9 billion, up 20.7% (or UAH 25.9 billion) compared to the same period in 2018. For seven months of 2018, the local budgets received UAH 125.1 billion,” the Decentralization portal reports, citing the press service of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine.

As noted, in July this year, local budgets received UAH 23.4 billion, up 23.8% ( or UAH 4.5 billion) compared to July 2018.

  1. The question not answered is, was this the new government or other influences. Z could accomplish minimal until the Rada election in July, so this increase to local budgets is due to other influences. Most likely work done by the previous government that is just showing up now.
    The Poroshenko government had a difficult row to hoe in dealing with the Opposition Bloc, a coalition government, destabilizing forces working to upset that coalition at every turn and war in the east. Legislative progress was thus slow.
    The current government should have a much easier time with a majority of the seats. Now we have to watch for Pootie’s next ploy.
